STARWEST 2017 took place from 1 to 6 October 2017 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. The event week offered over 100 learning and networking opportunities covering testing in DevOps, test transformation, test and release automation, agile testing, testing for developers, security testing, test strategy and metrics, test leadership, performance testing and monitoring, and big data, analytics and AI and machine learning for testing. Featured speakers included Melissa Chawla, Geoff Meyer and Hilary Weaver-Robb.

At the 2017 Testing & Quality Leadership Summit, program chair Jeffery Payne brings together senior industry leaders—Glen Hellman and Bob Galen—for an interactive exchange of ideas and experiences. Each of these leaders brings to the table a unique perspective on leadership to the table and will provide Summit participants with lessons learned and practical techniques for leading teams, addressing management challenges, and gaining senior management buy-in.

Women Who Test

Women Who Test is a full-day event on Friday, October 6 for women to network with other women who work in software testing. It is also a day to learn from and be inspired by each other. The program will cover testing topics and will support women’s personal and career journeys and include content like: reengineering your life, growing your personal brand, setting goals, discovering your career superpowers, and how to problem-solve when you are a female in the tech industry where your gender is out numbered 7:3. Join women test engineers, managers, CEOs, and consultants for some truly inspiring talks and fascinating group work.
