These terms apply to everyone who uses kongre.net, whether browsing, holding an account, registering for an event, or listing one. kongre.net is operated by BOTONBOARD LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14955016), registered office 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU ("we", "us"). By using kongre.net you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
kongre.net is a directory and archive of conferences, congresses and professional events, with tools for delegates (follow, favourite, attend, ask questions, register) and for organisers (list events, manage programmes, take registrations, host an event website). Event listings are created by organisers or compiled from public sources. We do not organise the events listed and are not a party to them unless we say otherwise.
You must be at least 16 to hold an account. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done with your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been used without your permission.
Organiser and PCO accounts are granted after review. We may decline, limit or withdraw them. You may delete your account at any time from your profile; the deletion process is described in the privacy policy.
We try to keep listings correct but cannot guarantee it. Dates, venues, fees and programmes change; confirm with the organiser before you travel or pay. Some listings are compiled from public sources rather than entered by the organiser; organisers can claim and correct them.
You keep the rights to anything you post (questions, comments, messages, profile text, publications, event listings) and give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it on kongre.net and in the kongre.net apps for as long as it is on the platform, and for past events, as part of the permanent archive.
You must not post anything that is unlawful, defamatory, infringes someone else's rights, contains personal data of others without permission, or is spam. We may remove content that breaks these rules or that we reasonably consider harmful, and may suspend accounts that post it. Organisers can hide comments on their own events.
If you list an event you confirm that you are authorised to do so, that the information is accurate and will be kept up to date, and that you hold any rights needed for images, logos and speaker details you upload. You are responsible for the event itself: delivery, changes, cancellation, and compliance with the laws that apply to it.
Free listings are provided as is. Featured placement and hosted websites are paid services under a separate order; the prices on the pricing page apply unless agreed otherwise in writing. A hosted website is active for 12 months from purchase; after that the event record remains online as a standard listing at no cost. Each edition of a recurring event is a separate event.
Where an organiser uses kongre.net registration, you buy your ticket through kongre.net. The payment is taken by BOTONBOARD LTD through Stripe, and BOTONBOARD LTD is the merchant of record for the payment. Your right to attend the event is granted by the organiser, and attendance itself is subject to the organiser's own rules.
The price shown on the event page is the organiser's ticket price. A kongre.net service fee (3 EUR per ticket plus 3% of the ticket price, converted to the event currency at the daily European Central Bank rate) is added at checkout and shown as a separate line before you pay. The total you see before confirming is the amount charged.
If you cancel your registration, the organiser's refund policy applies. It is shown on the event page and at checkout and may include deductions depending on how close to the event you cancel. The kongre.net service fee is not refunded when you cancel. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe.
If the organiser cancels the event, you are entitled to a full refund of everything you paid, including the service fee.
We are not responsible for the content, quality or delivery of the event.
For events using kongre.net registration, we collect payments on your behalf. The service fee (3 EUR per ticket plus 3% of the ticket price) is paid by the delegate at checkout; the registration setup fee (200 EUR per event) is invoiced to you.
Payouts are made monthly during the sales period to the bank account you give us, after deducting refunds, chargebacks and any amounts you owe us. We hold back a reserve of 10% of ticket revenue (20% for your first event on kongre.net) until 14 days after the event ends, then release it less any refunds and chargebacks still open.
You must publish a refund policy for your event before registration opens and honour it. If you cancel the event, all delegates are entitled to a full refund; you must return any payouts already received within 7 days so refunds can be made, and we apply the reserve first. If a delegate obtains a refund or chargeback that we have to pay, we deduct it from your next payout or reserve, or invoice you for it.
You are responsible for any VAT or other tax due on your ticket sales.
Paid services are invoiced by BOTONBOARD LTD in EUR and paid online when you order. Services start when the payment clears.
The kongre.net name, logo, design and software are ours. You may link to any public page. You may reuse small amounts of listing information for non-commercial purposes (for example, a department page showing upcoming conferences in its field) if you credit kongre.net and link to the event page. You may not copy the database, scrape the site at volume, resell our data, or use it in a commercial product or service without written permission.
We aim to keep kongre.net available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or withdraw features. Hosted websites for paid customers carry the commitments in their order.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
Otherwise, for free use of the site our liability to you is excluded as far as the law allows. For paid services, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for those services in that period. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of organisers, for the events themselves, or for indirect or consequential loss.
You can stop using kongre.net at any time and delete your account. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after notice where practical. Sections 4, 6, 7, 9 and 11 continue to apply after an account is closed.
We may update these terms. We will show the date at the top and, for changes that affect paid services or payments, email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep any rights you have under your local law to bring proceedings at home.
These terms are written in English. If we provide translations, the English version prevails in case of any difference.
