Istanbul Topkapi University and partner international institutions host the 1st International Conference on Sensor Technology and Artificial Intelligence Systems (ISTAI26) on 12-15 October 2026 in Istanbul. The conference brings together scholars, engineers, educators, industry professionals and graduate students working at the intersection of sensor technologies and AI, covering the entire intelligent sensing pipeline: sensor design and instrumentation, data acquisition, signal and image processing, sensor fusion, and advanced learning algorithms, with special attention to edge and embedded AI, cyber-physical systems, and deployment in real operational environments.

Selected and accepted papers may be considered for publication in partner journals including a Scopus-indexed (Q2) title.

Topics

Track 1 - Sensor Technologies and Smart Sensing Systems: novel sensors (MEMS, biosensors, chemical/gas, optical, thermal, RF); sensor design, calibration, error modelling and noise characterisation; multi-sensor systems, sensor networks and synchronisation. Further tracks span machine learning and deep learning for sensing applications, IoT and wireless sensor networks, robotics, smart manufacturing, smart cities, healthcare sensing, environmental monitoring, energy systems, and trustworthy AI (reliability, safety, transparency).

Objectives

Advance state-of-the-art research in sensor technology and AI-driven intelligent systems
Promote holistic, system-level approaches connecting sensing, processing, learning and deployment
Strengthen innovation in multi-sensor fusion, real-time inference and edge intelligence
Support reproducible research through benchmarking, evaluation and transparent experimentation
Expand applications in healthcare, smart agriculture, Industry 4.0/5.0, smart cities, energy and environmental monitoring
Foster academia-industry collaboration for deployable, standards-aware solutions
