Iron and Erythropoiesis: bridging molecular mechanism and clinical practice
Objectives
Explain the molecular regulation of erythropoiesis and iron metabolism. Differentiate the pathophysiology of common and rare red cell disorders. Apply diagnostic approaches for haemoglobinopathies, membrane defects, enzymatic defects, and iron disorders. Evaluate current and emerging treatments for red cell and iron-related disorders. Integrate clinical, molecular, and laboratory findings to guide patient management.
