12th Our Ocean Conference (Our Ocean 2027)

The 12th Our Ocean Conference will be hosted by Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on 10–11 May 2027, the first time the conference has been held in Canada. The venue in Halifax has not yet been announced. Launched in 2014, the Our Ocean Conference brings governments, Indigenous Peoples, industry, civil society and academia together to make voluntary, measurable commitments for ocean protection and sustainable use, across six action areas: marine protected areas, sustainable blue economies, climate change, maritime security, sustainable fisheries and marine pollution. Diana Fox Carney, Canada's Ocean Envoy, chairs the 2027 conference. The conference secretariat is hosted by the Ocean Program at the World Resources Institute.
