The 11th Urban Studies Congress (Kent Arastirmalari Kongresi), themed "Climate-Resilient Cities", takes place on 12-14 October 2026 in Ankara. Cities are where the impacts of climate change are most intensely experienced - floods, droughts, wildfires, heatwaves and infrastructure vulnerabilities affect social groups unequally, deepening spatial injustice. With COP31 to be held in Antalya in 2026, the congress is designed as an academic platform bringing together knowledge production, policy debate and urban experience ahead of COP31, addressing disaster risks, social inequalities, spatial justice and local governance through an interdisciplinary lens.
