Pure Mathematics

Pure mathematics studies mathematical structures for their own sake, including algebra, analysis, geometry, topology, number theory and logic. Conferences are usually lecture-led, built around invited talks, contributed sessions and smaller thematic workshops or research schools. They attract university mathematicians, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, and lecturers who follow developments in their field.
