Epidemiology

Epidemiology studies the distribution and determinants of health and disease in populations, including surveillance, outbreak investigation, study design and causal inference. Meetings combine methodological sessions with applied research on chronic disease, infection and health inequality, often with statistical software workshops. Delegates include epidemiologists and biostatisticians, public health agency staff, academic researchers and doctoral students, and clinicians involved in population studies.
