Acoustics & Optics

Acoustics and optics study the generation, transmission and detection of sound and light, including photonics, lasers, imaging systems, noise control and vibration. Meetings often pair scientific sessions with hands-on demonstrations and standards discussions, since much of the work sits close to instrumentation. They attract physicists and engineers, audio and imaging specialists, measurement laboratories and manufacturers of optical and acoustic equipment.
