SOBP 2021

Following the need to cancel much of the programming for the 2020 SOBP meeting due to the pandemic, the SOBP Council, 2021 Program Committee, and Executive Office have worked hard and creatively to prepare for the 2021 SOBP Meeting.

We had, of course, been looking forward to welcoming each of you to San Diego in April, but given the need to continue to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities, SOBP Council has decided to hold the 2021 SOBP meeting in a fully virtual format.

The ILTS Congress connects the world of liver transplantation and we are proud of its reputation for the quality of science and its strong multi-disciplinary approach. It has been a disruptive year – but with disruption also comes opportunity. The ILTS Congress 2021 will be virtual and we look forward to reaching a much wider audience.

IASLC lungcancernetwork8

The recent, increasing amount of knowledge regarding lung cancer, especially in the field of basic science, has led to a significant paradigm shift in the management of patients with thoracic cancers. Elucidation of biologic mechanisms that underpin carcinogenetic potential and metastatic behavior has led to an inevitable explosion in the development of effective targeted agents and immunotherapy strategies, many of which have been proven to be more effective and less toxic therapeutic approaches.
