The last year has been a very difficult year for so many of our colleagues and families across the world subsequent to the SARS COV 2 pandemic. Our thoughts are very much with the families that have lost loved ones and suffered severe consequences due to the pandemic. Despite intense adversity, many of you have found new ways of working and continued passionately to support patients with Inborn Errors of Metabolism. In this context, we thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we have reframed the delivery of the 14th International Congress of Inborn Errors of Metabolism (ICIEM 2021) to be held in Sydney, Australia.

The ICIEM 2021 Organising Committee will host a Hybrid Event between 21 to 23 November 2021. Given the advice from the World Health Organisation and the Australian government, taking into account the current closure of international borders, ICIEM 2021 will now be held online and at the Hilton Hotel Sydney. Some components of the Congress will be delivered at a physical venue, but other components -including Sponsorship and Exhibition- will be hosted via a virtual platform with the potential to upgrade to physical opportunities pending international borders reopening.
